"We lost a partner, a brother, a confidant, a friend.....Tom's brother is now building websites from another location. We have heard Rick's voice over gchat almost every day for the last 10 years as he partnered with Tom for our family business. Now, his light is no longer on and the sense of loss for Tom and all the children and grandchildren in Rick's life is palpable. Tom visited his nephews and nieces in Wisonsin to mourn Rick's loss. Later, we spent our weekend in the mountains working on rebuilding our vacation home, which is now "Rick's Cabin". When we think of Rick we think of the Alanis Morisette song.."I'm a sinner, I'm a saint, I do not feel ashamed....When you hurt, when you suffer, I'm an angel undercover, I've been numbed, I'm revived" Like all of us, Rick was a conflicted mix of saint and sinner and if you were unwilling to look past the sin, you missed all the goodness. Godspeed Rick."
~ Angie O'Shea Giving BackOver the past few years I've come to know and love you as a Christian and a friend. Rick's departure must have left an enormous hole in your life - there seemed to be few times when you were not digitally tethered to him in some way. I only had the pleasure of working with Rick directly a few times, but his gravelly voice and direct communication style won me over. There was nothing hidden or wiley - just honest, frank, Rick. I don't know who might be leading the digital charge to bridge the great communications gap to the other side, maybe Google. If so, you know Rick will be the first one online looking for you, and that green gchat light will burn bright for you again. In the meantime, you know he's there keeping an eye on you. Take care Tom. Bon Voyage Rick. Robert Grover - CEO --- I just heard from Cary the tragedy with Rick passing away. It made me very sad.
